Universal Cost

The Universal cost is derived by checking the following locations in the order that they are listed. Whichever location yields a value first is the value used.

1. If the Allow use of Standard cost for stock items option is ticked, the Item's Std Cost ($) is used.
2. If the Qty Stock on the Warehouses tab is not zero, the Avg Cost ($) on the Warehouse tab is used.
3. If the Qty in Stock on the General tab is not zero, the Avg Cost ($) on the General tab is used.
4. If the Last Cost ($) on the Warehouse tab is not zero, the Last cost on the Warehouse details tab is used.
5. If the Last Cost ($) on the General tab is not zero, the Last cost on the General tab is used.

If none of these checks are applicable, then the Cost per kit will be zero.
